Overview
The S8300 Server resides inside a G700, G450, G430, G350 or G250 Gateway. It can be used as a standalone communication system or as a fully survivable remote gateway. The S8300 can be the primary controller for up to 50 remote G250, G350, G430, G450 and G700 Gateways.
As with the S8400, S8500, S8700 and S8800 series Servers, the S8300 supports the Linux operating system and it is powered by Communication Manager. It supports industry standard call control, quality of service, management functions, and IP, digital, and analog endpoints.
New with Release 6.3 is increased quantity of supported SIP endpoints to 1000 and 700 respectively with the S8300D. The S8300 provides a complete, all in one H.323, SIP and TDM solution for small to mid sized businesses and branch locations of larger businesses.
Key Features:
Advanced Voice Applications — The Servers and Gateways use Avaya Aura Communication Manager to deliver proven reliability, efficient call handling and more than 525 voice application features over switched and Internet Protocol networks of any size.
Business Continuity — Avaya provides options to deploy local survivable processors or duplicate processors in corporate network, pre-programmed and ready to take over call control in case a central media server or communications link is disrupted.
Broad Scalability — S8300 supports a wide range of needs from a single office to a campus to a global enterprise with up to 36,000 endpoints.

Value Proposition: Customers
The S8300 provides flexibility, scalability and reliability with integrated applications for the mid-sized enterprise and the remote/branch offices of large enterprises. With Communication Manager 4, the S8300 solution includes IA770 messaging application. The S8300 Server can operate as a standalone media server and has the flexibility to operate as a Survivable Remote Processor (SRP) in a larger distributed network. This gives customers with large communications networks the flexibility to deploy gateways and servers in configurations that support their needs. When combined with integrated applications like the IA770 Intuity™ AUDIX® messaging system and a contact center, customers looking for an integrated IP telephony platform will find the S8300 server to be a robust solution.
